June 30, 2014, Boston, Massachusetts – From asset management to mobile solutions to ERP integration and more, ARCHIBUS Nexus 2014 — held May 1-7 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida — offered an enriched program of management presentations, technical training components, and expanded networking opportunities for an international cross-section of Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Facilities Management professionals.
ARCHIBUS Nexus focuses on three core initiatives: international community, shared experience, and continuing education, and it is comprised of three unique events: ARCHIBUS Connect for the Federated Eco-System, ARCHIBUS Conference for Best Practices, and ARCHIBUS University for Technical Excellence.
The range of educational offerings demonstrated once again the significant value-add of the advanced IWMS platform offered by ARCHIBUS, Inc., the number one software solution worldwide for real estate, infrastructure and facilities management.
The “standing room only” events offered insights into key concerns of the profession as revealed in presentations by:
Turk Telekom: Turkey’s leading telecommunications company presented details of its TEYSIS Project, a large-scale ARCHIBUS implementation to centrally manage the organization’s extensive property and physical asset holdings, aided by a multi-national collaborative effort of U.S. and European ARCHIBUS Business Partners.
Thomson Reuters: Having completed a global rollout of ARCHIBUS Web Central Space and Move Management, the financial information giant described how their enterprise-wide ARCHIBUS technology initiative supports their objectives to significantly improve workplace services and consolidate space with an innovative alternative work program.
University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB): With its Galveston facilities facing the Gulf of Mexico, hurricanes and flooding prompted UTMB to develop sustainability practices with ARCHIBUS emergency preparedness.
Eni Servizi: As the service arm of Italian energy giant Eni, EniServizi has implemented their Site (Contract) Compliance Project with ARCHIBUS to monitor all contract-related asset information, documents, and certifications via a real-time compliance dashboard. The Site Compliance Model also manages assets using mobile technology and NFC tags, monitors energy, and much more.
|City of Kansas City: The City of Kansas City’s Facility Services division used their ARCHIBUS reporting capabilities to create a new business plan that supports the mission of the organization using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure, monitor, and verify the division’s performance and effectiveness, and improve decision-making.|
Intensive sessions on business transformation tactics and deployment strategies were also featured. The complete list of presentations and speakers can be found at http://www.archibus.com/nexus/conference.cfm
In addition, ARCHIBUS Awards of Excellence were conferred upon a select group of industry professionals for their often novel, and always effective, use of ARCHIBUS software to streamline business processes and lower their Total Cost of Occupancy (TCO).
Among this year’s Application Excellence Award winners is a Senior Manager at online retailer and auction site eBay Inc. who is credited with taking their deployment to the next level by integrating ARCHIBUS with Microsoft Exchange to bring conference room management, end to end, into the control of the Space Planning team.
Other organizations receiving Awards include: BNL, Thomson Reuters, Sellafield Ltd., JM Family Enterprises, Eni Servizi, University of New South Wales, European Commission Luxembourg, City of Kansas City, and more.
