PeopleCube Sponsors Webinar on Strengthening the Business Case

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts—November 17, 2009—PeopleCube, provider of intelligent workplace, resource, and energy management technology, today announced that it is sponsoring an educational webinar by Diane Stegmeier of Stegmeier Consulting Group entitled “Strengthening The Business Case for Alternative Workspace Environments.”

Part of an ongoing PeopleCube webinar series that focuses on effectively utilizing real estate and minimizing associated costs, the webinar will take place on December 3 at 11:00 AM. As is the case with all PeopleCube webinars, it is offered free of charge.

“Studies have shown that providing a dedicated workspace to an individual employee can cost in excess of $10,000 annually,” said Rick Boyink, vice president of North America for PeopleCube. “Diane Stegmeier’s ground-breaking research on workplace change has given her insight into how organizations can leverage alternative workspace environments to simultaneously decrease overall operating costs and enhance employee productivity.”

“There’s a growing need to examine corporate real estate portfolios and reallocate space based on how it is actually being used. Yet business cases presented to the C-suite are often too weak to secure buy-in for implementing alternative workspace strategies,” said Stegmeier. “When companies combine best practices in change management with actionable workspace utilization data, they reap the benefits of alternative workspace and experience the positive impact that telework and shared-space environments have on productivity.”

Drawing from her extensive workplace research, which spans more than a decade and encompasses 140 organizations across 24 industries, Stegmeier will present key findings on how several companies have achieved buy-in for alternative workspace at the executive level, which has resulted in successful flex work initiatives. The recipient of the International Facility Management Association’s 2008 Distinguished Author Award of Excellence for a Book, Stegmeier has educated business leaders from around the globe on best practices in overcoming resistance to change. She is a member of the Advisory Board for the Telework Coalition, and the Industry Advisory Board for The Journal of eWorking, published by Merlien Institute in The Netherlands.
