Virtual Premise to Present at the National Retail Tenants Association’s Annual Conference

ATLANTA – August 31, 2009 – Virtual Premise, a leading SaaS provider of real estate information management solutions, today announced it will present at the National Retail Tenants Association’s 14th Annual Conference, Now More Than Ever! The presentation, entitled “Effective Lease Review,” will be presented by Kelly Kepley, vice president of lease services for Virtual Premise, in Session IV on Monday, September 14, 2009, at 3:15 p.m.

“Effective Lease Review” will help lease administrators, company attorneys, and others responsible for managing retail lease portfolios design and manage an internal review and approval process that will improve data accuracy, consistency and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. As part of the presentation, Kepley will discuss the components that help create a compliant work environment, including transparency, real-time disclosure and public certification of financial reports and internal controls.

“In today’s economy, efficient portfolio management is critical to a retailer’s operation, not just for regulatory compliance but for better business performance,” said Andy Thomas, president and COO of Virtual Premise. “Because the real estate market is changing quickly, retailers must be able to accurately review an entire portfolio of property in order to assess all available options, like rent reductions and early-out clauses, in order to make informed business decisions. By having the best practices in place to better collect, manage and report on complex real estate information, retailers have the opportunity to save thousands of dollars per store, gain competitive advantage and ensure a strong market position.”

An effective lease review will mitigate data errors and build user confidence in the resulting information. This presentation will demonstrate processes for effective data management that will create hierarchies for data review and data ownership. By implementing these best practices, executive reporting can be timely and accurate, and of optimum value.

“Lease administration is one area in an organization being adversely affected by resource reductions as companies are being forced to institute cost-saving measures,” said Kepley. “As more constraints have been placed on a smaller workforce, data integrity has been put at risk at a time when data is mission critical to every organization. That’s why it is more important than ever for an organization to identify the internal processes necessary to ensure that consistent and accurate information is reflected in the lease review process.”

Kepley has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate operations. She oversees the day-to-day management of the Lease Services Division for Virtual Premise.
