City of Seattle Chooses Skire Unifier
MENLO PARK, CA, July 9, 2009 – Skire, Inc. (www.skire.com), the leading provider of capital program, facilities, real estate and project portfolio management software, today announced that the City of Seattle’s Fleets and Facilities Department has chosen Skire Unifier™ to replace four obsolete systems with a single, Web-based platform for systemizing and integrating management processes and data.
The City of Seattle Fleets and Facilities Department operates and manages approximately 3 million square feet of city-owned facilities. As part of a formal procurement process, the city sought a new solution to replace its existing end-of-life systems with a new well-architected application that is easy to use and intuitive . Skire Unifier will integrate workflow between the city’s property management, lease and tenant management, resource conservation, facilities maintenance, space planning, building asset management, cost and time tracking, facilities and condition inventory, and other functions.
“We are pleased to be chosen by the City of Seattle, and by their comprehensive vision for improving workflow efficiency throughout its property and facilities operations,” said John Leet, director of marketing for Skire. “The citizens of Seattle ultimately benefit from efficient management, and Unifier’s flexibility will help the city continuously fine-tune its processes for ongoing improvement.”
