BG Group’s Project Services Group controls the company’s capital projects worldwide, and it had conducted an intensive selection process. The team chose Skire Unifier for its flexibility and configurability, as well as for its SAP NetWeaver® certification and its integration capabilities. BG Group intends to use extensive Unifier functionality, including cost engineering, performance-based cost forecasting, schedule management, earned value management, document management and collaboration. The initial phase of the implementation is providing cost performance management and forecasting capabilities together with collaborative document management, including all engineering drawings, during the plant engineering design and construction phases. The next phase of Unifier implementation will focus on bi-directional integration of Unifier with BG Group’s SAP system and project planning tools.
